Learning English Through Listening

 Listening is one of the most important skills in learning English. It is the first skill learners develop before speaking, reading, and writing. Good listening skills help learners to understand spoken language and respond correctly in daily situations.To improve your listening skills, first listen carefully to short English conversations. Gradually increase the speed from slow to fast listening until you can clearly understand the conversation. Then you will be able to overcome the confusion and identify the words without fear.

In some conversations or when listening to any other English conversation, when it is not possible to get the meaning of everything, some understanding can be gained by identifying a name, place, action or thing through the key words in the recognizable sentences contained in it. Even if some points are missed, the message can be understood through the key words contained in that message.Following simple instructions can help learners practice active listening. For example, common instructions used in everyday classrooms such as "take the book," "sit down," and "don't shout" can improve English listening skills and increase interest in speaking.

Improve your English listening skills by watching interesting picture cartoons. For example: -Ghibli movies. Such cartoons are very enjoyable, so by showing actions and emotions, it will be possible to understand the story. Then they will listen to the story and enjoy it.Songs and rhymes with repetition are very helpful for improving listening skills. 

Repeated words and phrases help a learner to learn the song pattern and vocabulary. Listening to English songs frequently helps one pronounce words correctly.

In conclusion, listening skills are very important aspect of learning English. By practicing the above activities regularly like watching picture cartoons, songs practice, learners can improve their listening skills and communicate with others more confidently.
